With the recovery of outbound tourism, a battle has been ignited among the tourism bureaus of various countries globally. For Tourism Australia, attracting potential interest from tourists and quickly reignite the demand for travel to Australia has become a huge challenge. Tourisms Australia launched a new brand slogan “Come and Say G’day”, introduced a new kangaroo tourism ambassador named Ruby, and released the annual blockbuster - animated microfilm “G'day” to swiftly establish national awareness. We selected Chengdu, a region with similarly magical animals and city attributes, for their main promotional area, and set up an official brand pop-up store in Taikoo Li, covering several prominent outdoor screens on Chunxi Road as well as iconic outdoor screens in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. Through online and offline media matrix to show the charm of Australia, we successfully ignited travel desires among Chinese tourists and made Australia their top-of-mind destination for long-distance outbound travel in the future.
